Your ride aboard that special steam-powered train pulled by Thomas the Tank Engine is just the highlight of this one-of-a-kind family event! "Day Out With Thomas" comes to Strasburg Rail Road and offers children and their grownups the opportunity to ride with classic storybook friend Thomas the Tank Engine and to enjoy hours of Thomas- and railroaded-themed activities. Parents, grandparents and siblings join their aspiring engineers in the fun.
So, what's included?
Your basic "Day Out With Thomas" ticket includes the 20-minute ride behind none other than steam-powered Thomas the Tank Engine, PLUS all of the following activities! Additional ticket options provide the opportunity to ride aboard Percy's train (That's right, Thomas's best friend is here too!) or the RR's classic steam train. Plan to spend the day!

Interested in additional train rides to round out your Thomas experience? Select ticket options include the 12-minute ride aboard Percy's train and/or Strasburg Rail Road's standard steam-powered 45-minute excursion train.
Ticket options:
- Basic Thomas ticket – $21 – Ages 2 and up. (Under 2 ride free but must sit on a lap). Includes Thomas train ride and all activities.
- Percy Package – $27 – Ages 2 and up. (Under 2 ride free but must sit on a lap). Includes Thomas Train ride, Percy Train ride and all activities.
- Strasburg Combo – $29.50 – Includes Thomas Train Ride, a ride on a coach class car on the regular excursion train, and all activities. Ages 2 and Up. (Regular excursion train upgrades may be purchased at the Station the day of for Open Air, Dining, or First Class accommodations!)
- The Sodor Deluxe – $34 - Includes Thomas Train ride, Percy Train ride, a ride on the regular excursion train, and all activities. Ages 2 and Up. (Regular excursion train upgrade may be purchased at the Station the day of for Open Air, Dining, or First Class accommodations!)
