From the Galatic Express to the Wild West, Mother's Day to Dine & Ride options there's no shortage of fun at the Northern central Railway this spring. Here's a look at five fun-filled excursions taking place this May.

Make your way across the galaxy and join us for this new special event for 2021! This event is fun for kids big and small. Ride our train with your favorite space heroes and villains and take part in activities and photo opportunities after your train excursion. Our special guests will include galactic troopers, galaxy knights, a rebel warrior, and dark lords. Join the fun and dress as your favorite light or dark side character!
Keep the Galactic fun going when you get home! Purchase a cookie decorating kit from Burtt Baking Company. Your $10 kit includes 5 ready-to-decorate sugar cookies in Galactic shapes with colored icing and fun sprinkles. Cookie kits must be pre-ordered by Monday April 26th. Order your kit by purchasing it with your train tickets.

NCR has curated this special Mother’s Day package for a unique and memorable experience!
Treat Mom to this special run to Glen Rock with our historic PRR GP9 Diesel Locomotive built in 1959 on a former Pennsylvania Railroad mainline that has been in operation since 1838. Your ride follows the route of the original Northern Central Railroad through the scenic Heritage Rail Trail County Park. Learn about the history of the towns and villages you pass along the way.
At our station after your ride, join Jennifer Lubman, Horticulturist and Owner of Muhly & Cedar, to make a container herb garden! We will be planting basil, rosemary, and parsley – 3 of the most widely used culinary herbs – in an 8-inch terra cotta pot. The cost is $15 per kit and includes all materials, instruction, and recipe cards. Herb container kits must be pre-ordered by Thursday May 6th. Pre-order by purchasing the kit with your train tickets.

Capt. Bob’s Crabs and Northern Central Railway come together to bring you a special package to enjoy a scenic train ride to Seitzland followed by a delicious meal at Capt. Bob’s Crabs in Railroad, PA on their covered outdoor patio.
11:00 AM Ride: disembark in Railroad at 11:45 AM and reboard train at 1:15 PM for return to New Freedom
12:30 PM Ride: disembark in Railroad at 1:15 PM and reboard train at 2:45 PM for return to New Freedom
You have the choice of 1 of the following meal options (includes train ticket, meal, and tip):
Adult: $61.95 ½ dozen medium crabs, side of macaroni salad (6 oz.), cup of Maryland crab soup, and drink with refill

Take our train with its historic PRR GP9 Diesel Locomotive built in 1959. Enjoy a scenic excursion through the beautiful countryside of York County on a former Pennsylvania Railroad mainline that has been in operation since 1838.
View displays of automobiles and planes in the High Street parking lot next to Marge Goodfellow Park from 11 AM to 4 PM.

RC flying machines on display by members of the Blue & Gray Miniature Aircraft Squadron. The club’s flying field is located just east of Gettysburg, PA on Calvary Field Road where they host 3 flying events each year. bluegrayrc.com
While here, treat yourself to food and drinks from Chick -N- Time and Stacey’s Fresh Squeezed Orangeade Food Trucks. They will be parked in the High Street parking lot from 10 AM to 5 PM.
