Participating in a Kid’s Closet Connection sale is as easy as A-B-C and simple as 1-2-3. During these tough economic times, Kid's Closet Connection is a local business that hosts a semi-annual sale, connecting families who want to sell gently-used children's items to people who want to purchase quality kid’s items at a fraction of retail prices. And, we all know how fast children grow. Some of the items you will find are children’s clothing from newborn to teen, maternity clothing, strollers, swings, baby gear and accessories, baby furniture, toys books, games, DVD’s, shoes, jackets and more.
In our high tech – high touch sales, the sellers can receive up to 70% of their tagged price while cleaning out their closet without even having to work the sale and buyers reap the benefits, with a friendly staff and expedited check-out using a proprietary bar-coded system.
Consignors set their own prices using our online tagging system, they can watch their sales online while the sale is in progress, they are invited to our “Consignor Pre-Sale” before we open to the public, and they can transfer their items to another Kid’s Closet Connection sale without retagging and no additional consignor fee. A new consignor will pay a $12.50 fee that is deducted from their proceeds after the sale. However, if you refer a friend to consign your fee is waived.
Volunteers who sign up to work a shift at the sale are invited to shop our “Volunteer Pre-Sale” which is before our “Consignor Pre-Sale” and before we open to the public. Volunteers ensure the highest standards of children’s items are sold at the sale, assist shoppers and help keep the sale orderly and running smoothly.
The remaining name-brand clothing, toys and books that don’t sell are donated to a local, needy not-for-profit organization. Additionally canned goods will be collected and donated to Catholic Harvest Food Pantry. Food sales at the event with benefit The March of Dimes.
