October is National Fire Prevention Month and Fire Companies across York County are gearing up to host their annual open house and fire prevention month activities. October 6 |
York Area United Fire & Rescue
York Area United Fire & Rescue is having an open house at our headquarters station 89-3 on October 6th from 6 PM to 8 PM. The station is located at 2045 N. Sherman Street 17406/
Come on out to station 89-3 and meet your firefighters and talk to them about what they do and learn alot about fire safety and prevention. There will be :
Hotdogs and snacks
Activities for the kids
Fire Truck Tours
The Palmer Dollhouse where we demonstrate how fire can travel through the home and ways we can help slow the process.
Safe Kids of York will be on site to assist with any questions on car seat safety
Plenty of educational handouts for the kids and adults alike
So come on out and have a little fun while you learn about fire safety!!

We are excited to invite you to our annual Fire Prevention Open House at 6pm, which promises fun, education, and community engagement.
Meet Your Local Heroes: Meet the firefighters dedicated to keeping our community safe.
Get Up Close with a Fire Truck: Have you ever wondered what it’s like inside a fire truck? Wonder no more! Climb aboard, explore the equipment, and learn how our firefighting vehicles operate. It’s an experience that kids of all ages (yes, adults too!) will enjoy.
Enjoy Light Refreshments: We'll have light refreshments on hand, ensuring you stay energized throughout your visit. Share stories and chat with your neighbors while savoring some tasty treats.
Don't miss this chance to come together as a community and learn about the importance of fire prevention. Working smoke alarms can make a life-saving difference in a home fire, giving people the time to get out safely.

North Codorus Twp. Fire Company
Come on out to our annual Fire Prevention Open House from 10-2. Take a tour of our station, let the kids play in the bounce house and fire truck rides. Most importantly meet the men and women that help protect your community! Home made chicken corn soup and other light refreshments will be available for purchase as well.
Jefferson Volunteer Fire Company
Join us for our annual Fire Prevention Open House and Fall Fest from 9am -2pm!
Activities include crafts, bounce house, face painting, pumpkin painting, food, a car show, fire prevention activities and more!
