As the new school year approaches, local organizations, churches, and community leaders across York County are coming together to ensure students are fully equipped with uniforms, backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, and free family fun!

💡 Quick Tips for Families Attending
- Bring the Kids: Many backpack giveaways require students to be present in order to receive supplies.
- Check Registration Requirements: While most events are drop-in, some events require online registration beforehand.
- Arrive On Time: Supplies, uniforms, and specialized items are often handed out on a first-come, first-served basis; however, earlier arrivals can overwhelm volunteers and organizers during setup.

1. Lucas and Friends Student Uniform Shower
- Hosted by: Lucas and Friends, Love City, & French Toast
- Time: 10:00 AM
- Location: Logos Academy – 255 West King St, York, PA
- Details: Providing FREE brand-new school uniforms for students in the York community.

2. Back to School Event / Regreso a Clases
- Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Location: 241 E. King Street, York, PA 17403
- What’s Offered: Free backpacks & school supplies, free food, games, haircut services for boys, hairstyles for girls, bouncy house, dunk tank, and face painting. Bilingual event details provided.
3. Iglesia Pentecostal Casa del Alfarero Back to School
- Hosted by: Iglesia Pentecostal Casa del Alfarero (IPCA)
- Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- What’s Offered: Totally free! Includes games for kids, face painting, backpacks, haircuts, hot dogs, water, and more.
4. Annual Bookbag Give-A-Way
- Presented by: Social Friendship Lodge #42 with Southwire & Community Partners
- Time: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM (or until supplies last)
- Location: Kiwanis Lake – 570 N. Newberry St., York, PA 17404
- What’s Offered: Bookbags, school supplies, food, resources, and family fun.
5. Harvest of Blessing Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway
- Sponsored by: Harvest of Blessing Inc. & HighMark WholeCare
- Time: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
- Location: 1225 W. Princess St., York, PA 17404
- What’s Offered: Backpacks for Pre-K through 8th grade, free meals, vendors, games/prizes, bounce house, and Z&D Fries food truck.
- Requirements: No registration required. Note: Both parent/guardian and student must be present to receive a backpack.

6. Back to School Free Haircut Event
- Presented by: KnTRadio, Women Of Wellness (WOW), & Big Baller Brand

- Eligibility: Students ages 13 and younger
- Highlights: Free haircuts to start the school year right! Plus, FREE BBB T-shirts for the first 50 kids.

7. Paws for Wellness Bearcat 5K & Back 2 School Resource Fair
- Hosted by: City of York, Highmark WholeCare, WellSpan Health, & Partners
- Times:
- 5K Race: Starts @ 8:30 AM (Smalls Athletic Fields - 31 Hamilton Ave, York, PA)
- Resource Fair: Starts @ 12:00 PM (William Penn Senior High School - Enter Door 33)
- Highlights: Health & wellness resources, giveaways, community partners, activities, and Free Food Bags courtesy of Farm-to-Family Produce Markets.
- Note: No ID required and no income guidelines for food bags.
8. Anointed Touch Ministries Annual Family & Friends Day
- Hosted by: Anointed Touch Ministries Outreach Center
