The annual Lawilowan American Indian Festival returns March 7–8 for a vibrant weekend of cultural celebration, education, and family fun at the Grumbacher Sport and Fitness Center on the campus of York College of Pennsylvania.
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, guests are invited to experience the rich traditions of Native American culture through powerful drumming, singing, and dancing exhibitions. The festival’s Grand Entry—beginning at noon each day—will feature dancers in full regalia, representing diverse tribal traditions in a breathtaking display of heritage and pride.
Held at the Grumbacher Sport and Fitness Center, 899 S. Richland Ave., York, PA 17403, the two-day event offers an immersive cultural experience for attendees of all ages.
Festival-goers can explore:
- Traditional Native American drumming and dance competitions

The Lawilowan American Indian Festival is more than a powwow—it is a celebration of identity, resilience, and community connection.
This year’s festival also continues its commitment to raising awareness for MMIW (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women-People), honoring lives impacted and helping to bring visibility to this critical issue affecting Indigenous communities across North America.
