Give Local York will begin at 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, and continue through 9 p.m. on Friday, May 2. The event, traditionally held on the first Friday in May, has become a significant date on York County's calendar of community engagement.
Building on Past Success
The 2024 event marked a historic achievement for Give Local York, raising an impressive $5.27 million for 330 nonprofit organizations throughout the community. This record-breaking total demonstrates the tremendous impact of collective giving when the community comes together.
Widespread Participation
For the upcoming 2025 event, more than 300 nonprofit organizations have already registered to participate, representing a diverse range of causes and services that benefit York County residents.
How It Works
The giving process is straightforward:

- Contributors can select their favorite nonprofits and make donations directly through the platform
- Donations made during the 24-hour period are enhanced with bonus funds provided by event partners
- This "stretch pool" maximizes the impact of every donation
