Summer is just around the corner and the kids will be out of school. How will you keep them busy, happy, and enriched? For children ages five to eighteen, there are fun, creative learning events happening in our studio in July and August.
There are plenty of creative options at YAA to choose from!
Sue Miller brings art and fun together with engaging, age-appropriate skill-building projects for kids ages 5–14 with Art Adventures. Spend a morning or afternoon with Sue, having fun creating in our studio!
Calling all critter lovers! Join The ART ZOO: Reptile Smiles with Nicole Osborne, where kids will get up close and personal with amazing reptiles and create art inspired by their experience.
Explore new mediums and develop fine art skills with Jessie Groft in Mixed Media Adventures and Drawing & Painting ‘FUN’damentals. Miss Jessie is back with fresh, exciting projects for kids ages 5–14 in two four-day camps this July.
Annelise Vuono returns this summer with another incredible opportunity for young artists (ages 10–18) to collaborate on a public art installation in our community! The Art of Painting a Mural is a unique experience for tweens and teens passionate about street art and teamwork, working together toward a shared creative goal.
For those who love to draw can join Brad Gebhart for the four-week evening camp Heroes, Sidekicks, and Monsters, held on Wednesdays.
If you're looking for a one-day art adventure, explore Mosaic Mirrors with Sukey Starkey or discover the art of Georgia O’Keeffe in A Day with Georgia with Karen Fornadel.
Lastly, for teens preparing for post-high school art education, Karen Fornadel will lead a Portfolio Preparation workshop to help students organize and strengthen their portfolios for entry into college or other programs.
