Appell Center Announces Three NEW Live Concerts To Spring Roster.

By Appell Center for the Performing Arts January 22, 2023

The Appell Center for the Performing Arts in downtown York, PA, is thrilled to announce the addition of three new live concerts to its spring roster.

Celebrating a 35 plus-year career that began in clubs around their native Atlanta, Georgia, INDIGO GIRLS, the multi-Grammy-winning duo of Emily Saliers and Amy Ray, return to the Strand Theatre for the first time since 2018! With 16 studio albums selling over 15 million records, they have built a dedicated, enduring following across the globe. Fans will not want to miss who Rolling Stone describes as the “ideal duet partners” when they take the stage on April 28.

Rock ‘n’ roll is often hard to define, but to paraphrase an old saying: you know it when you hear it. And you always hear it – and will hear it on April 29 in the Strand Theatre – with THE WALLFLOWERS. For the past 30 years, the Jakob Dylan-led act has stood as one of rock’s most dynamic and purposeful bands – a unit dedicated to and continually honing a sound that meshes timeless songwriting and storytelling with a hard-hitting and decidedly modern musical attack. Mark your calendars for the Appell Center debut of this dynamic band!

The Appell Center’s CapLive concert series also has an additional event this spring… Celebrated singer/songwriter and American troubadour MARTIN SEXTON is joined by multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated artist KTTUNSTALL for an incredible evening on May 8 at the Capitol Theatre.

“We are beyond excited to add such an amazing volume of talent to our season,” says Todd Fogdall, Appell Center President and CEO. “These artists are ready to bring not only their timeless music to our stages, but a memorable experience for our audiences. And this is just the start of the announcements we will be making in the coming weeks! There is much more to come this spring…”

Tickets for these added concerts are on sale now, and can be purchased by calling 717-846-1111, online at appellcenter.org, or at the Appell Center Box Office at 50 N. George Street in York, PA.
