By Appell Center for the Performing Arts November 27, 2022

December is right around the corner and that means the holiday season is upon us! The Appell Center for the Performing Arts welcomes all to experience the very best musicians direct from New York’s Lincoln Center in “Big Band Holidays” concert for the entire family.

Take a break from the rush of the season and bring the whole family on Dec. 3 to hear your favorite holiday tunes, exquisitely arranged and performed by the incomparable Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. Joining the orchestra are National Endowment for the Arts “Jazz Master” and five-time Grammy-winning vocalist DIANNE REEVES and sensational 23-year-old vocalist SAMARA JOY, winner of the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition and recently nominated for two Grammy Awards as “Best New Artist” and “Best Jazz Vocal,” and who is poised to join the ranks with Reeves, Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday in legendary status. What better way to kick off the season than with traditional holiday favorites performed by world-class musicians?!

“This show is a wonderful opportunity for families, friends, and loved ones to come together and enjoy a memorable experience in York’s beautiful historic Strand Theatre,” says Appell Center President & CEO Todd Fogdall. “We hope people will join us and make some new memories this holiday season at the Appell Center.”
