Kids First Swim School York provides indoor, year-round swim instruction and public events for all ages in a safe, family-friendly setting with highly trained instructors, small class sizes, & a shiver-free 90-degree pool.
Swimming is an activity that requires consistency and regular practice to see progress. By starting your swimming journey at Kids First Swim School York this fall and winter, you are guaranteed to see results in time for the upcoming pool and beach season thanks to their trademarked Kids First/Kick First method. The Kids First/Kick First method focus on strengthening the muscles needed for swimming, starting with proper kicking form. Students train one set of muscles (the feet and legs) to move at a short fast rate of speed before we begin training the other major set of muscles (the hands and arms). Isolating and training the feet and legs first can ingrain the proper movement before establishing the arms in the stroke. Making swimming much easier to learn as training is occurring at the subconscious level. Little swimmers will also benefit from having the chance to safely socialize with peers, work on taking turns, have listening skills, and more!

Mommy/Daddy and Me |
Children are born with an natural affinity for water. The sooner children start swimming lessons, the quicker they learn and the less likely they will be afraid of the water.
This class is progressive, and with consistency and repetition your child will progress and learn the fundamentals of Kicking, Buoyancy, Breath Control and Safety Skills in addition to water comfort.
This program is designed for children from ages 2 months up to 3 years old.
The total class time is 30 minutes.
Price is $85 monthly which includes 4 lessons. Some months have 5 lessons, the 5th lesson is on us!
If a month has less than 4 weekly lessons due to being closed, we will prorate accordingly.
Small Group Classes |
Kids First Swim School teaches swim lessons through our own trademarked curriculum, we only use swim instructors who are certified to teach our curriculum, and we maintain small class sizes (maximum ratio of 4:1) in our small group lessons. Children are grouped together by skill level (1-5). Swimmers will be assessed by our staff to determine the appropriate skill level. Swimmers can expect to have the same swim instructor each lesson as this consistency helps build trust and confidence.
This program is designed for swimmers who are capable of learning in a small group environment and are at least 3 years old.
Classes meet 30 minutes weekly, and are held at the same day and time each week.
Price is $90 monthly which includes 4 lessons. Some months have 5 lessons, the 5th lesson is on us! If a month has less than 4 weekly lessons we will prorate accordingly.
Private Classes |
Kids First offers personalized, 1-on-1 instruction that ranges in age from swimmers 6 months old to adult. Private lessons allow the instructor to focus on the specific skills your child needs to develop, allowing them to progress through the skill levels at their own pace. Swimmers can expect to have the same swim instructor each lesson as this consistency helps build trust and confidence; There can be times when an instructor requires a substitute. Some children do progress faster with personal 1-on-1 instruction. We also recommend private lessons for children with special needs.
Private lessons meet 30 minutes weekly, and are held at the same day and time each week.
Price is $47.50/class ($190 a month for 4 classes).
Semi-Private Classes |
Semi-Private lessons are a perfect way to benefit from more individualized instruction in a reduced class size. Each class has a maximum of 3 students; You can include siblings, relatives, or friends with similar skills. Kids First does not match students, students must register together.
Semi-Private lessons meet 30 minutes weekly, and are held at the same day and time each week.
Price is $28.75 per class per student ($115 for 4 classes).
Developmental Swim Team |
This program is designed to teach proper competitive stroke mechanics and to improve technique for all 4 strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. This is good fit for swimmers who are considering swimming competitively or who are currently on a competitive swim team and are looking to improve technique. Stroke fundamentals are presented in a unique way that will have swimmers understanding the stroke in a way they never knew before!
Developmental Swim Team meets for 45 minutes weekly, and are held at the same day and time each week.
Price is $95 monthly which includes 4 lessons.Some months have 5 lessons, the 5th lesson is on us! If a month has less than 4 weekly lessons we will prorate accordingly.
Adult Lessons |
Our Adult swim lessons are designed and conducted by instructors that understand what you need to become more comfortable and proficient in the water. Buoyancy (floating), breath control, and propulsion (movement) are the three primary skills to swimming. In each class, we will introduce new ways for you to develop these skills. Adults learn at an accelerated rate; it's not unusual to see adults go from simply putting their face in the water to swimming across the pool in a shorter period of time then a child. Class meets once a week for 45 minutes (30 min instructor based, 15 min of practice time). Some months have 5 lessons, the 5th lesson is on us! If a month has less than 4 weekly lessons we will prorate accordingly.
Price is $90 monthly which includes 4 lessons.
| Birthday Parties |
Kids First Swim School offers amazing Birthday Splashes! We offer 2 or 3 hour party options with exclusive use of our facility. The festivities begin with an hour long splash in the pool for 25 guests. A certified lifeguard will be included! You are welcome to bring in your own pool toys and floats.After changing into dry clothes, the party moves to our party room where the fun continues. You will be provided table and chairs for your guests. You are welcome to bring in your own food, drinks or decorations that would make your child's big day special.
Available party times are on Friday evenings as well as Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Bookings are on a first come/first serve basis and are very popular, please plan ahead!
Pricing: 2 hour party $325 ($75 discount to our swim families enrolled in lessons)
3 hour party $425 ($75 discount to our swim families enrolled in lessons)
Pricing for 26-40 swimmers is an additional $100.
