Fall Fun at Keystone Kidspace

Check out all the fun happening at Keystone Kidspace this Fall! 

Free parking is available in the Smalls Field parking lot across from our main entrance on East Hamilton Avenue.

 


Open Play 


Saturdays 10am-5pm 

Sundays 12-4pm. 

Admission is $12 per person for a whole day of play (children 3 and under are free). 




Preschool Open Play

Second Tuesdays are for our littlest fans! 

We will be open the second Tuesday of each month from 9 am -11 am for preschool-age children and their families to play! 

The building will be limited to the first floor only, and we will have special activities specifically designed for ages 2-6.

Admission is $12 per person (children 3 and under are free). 




Homeschool Open Play

Second Tuesday afternoons are for homeschool children and their families! We will be open second Tuesdays from 1-3pm (October-December) for homeschool children and their families to play!

Homeschool Open Play this fall will be October 8, November 12, and December 10.

 Groups are welcome, but if you will be attending in a large group, please let us know ahead of time.

Admission is $12 per person (children 3 and under are free). 


Bake and Take Autumn Leaf Cookies


During this fun fall class, our group of bakers will follow a recipe and mix up a batch of sugar cookie rollout dough together. Each baker will have their own dough and color it red, orange, and green and roll it out into a fall colored mosaic. Then we'll use leaf cookie cutters and artificial leaves to imprint them with the leaf design. After a few minutes in the oven, each baker will take home their own box of delicious leaf cookies to enjoy!

When: Sunday, October 13, 2024 from 1:00-2:30pm

Who: This class is designed for kids 5+ years.

School's Out Mini Camp: Gotta Catch Em All - Insects


Pokemon, the phenomenon that swept the nation in 1996, is still a familiar sight to see. These imaginary creatures are not so imaginary if you take a closer look. Spend the morning learning about insects and designing your very own set of four insect playing cards inspired by some of our Pennsylvania six legged friends.

When: Monday, October 14, 2024 from 9am-Noon

Who: This camp is a drop-off opportunity for kids 7+ years old. Kids may bring a snack and water bottle with them.

All About the Pies


During this fall flavored pie class, our group of bakers will learn how to make pie dough. Each baker will have their own 7" pie and follow a recipe to make an apple pie. While it is in the oven, each baker will make their own no-bake pumpkin pie in a cup topped with real whipped cream that we whip up together. Each baker will leave with their own baked 7" apple pie and pumpkin pie in a cup to enjoy!

When: Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 2:00-3:30pm

Who:This class is designed for kids 5+ years.

 Fee: $30

School's Out Mini Camp: Creatures of the Night


What creatures wake up when we go to sleep? Come and discover the mystery of the animals that thrive when the stars come out. Through hands-on activities, games, and experiments discover these creatures' special abilities to see, hunt, and communicate in the dark.

When: Wednesday, November 27, 2024 from 9am-Noon

Who: This camp is a drop-off opportunity for kids 7+ years old. Kids may bring a snack and water bottle with them.

School's Out Mini Camp: Animal Enrichment


Do you like to play, do puzzles, and have treats? Animals do too! Learn about how animal caretakers in zoos and aquariums (and even your home), use different types of enrichments to keep the animal’s day interesting. Campers will watch videos, play games, and build different types of enrichment for animals. 

When: Friday, November 29, 2024 from 9am-Noon 

Who: This camp is a drop-off opportunity for kids 7+ years old. Kids may bring a snack and water bottle with them.

Keystone Kidspace belongs to the Mess Makers, Tool Tinkerers, Computer Coders, Paint Pushers and Flapjack Flippers. At Keystone Kidspace, kids can have fun while learning about science, technology, engineering, art and math through interactive exhibits, hands-on activities and unique classes.

Please refer to our calendar for additional open drop-in hours, including select holidays, in service days and other special days.

Parking & Directions

You’ll find us at 10 East Hamilton Avenue York and easily accessible from I-83, Route 30 and the Heritage Rail Trail. Free Parking is available — with the exception that each car must have a parking tag or daily pass displayed. During York Revolution home games, members and visitors will be required to pay for parking.
