Summer Theater Camps, The Perfect Summer Adventure for Teens

Whether your child is destined for stardom, passionate about production or just looking to have some fun on the big stage this summer, the Strand Capitol Performing Arts Center and the Weary Arts Group, are partnering to offer engaging performing arts camp programs.

Each summer camp session is geared for children aged 5-18 and features classes on acting, singing, dancing and stagecraft:



FAIRYTALES & FANTASY - June 19-30, Showcase: June 30 

The ultimate game of make-believe! Students will explore classic and modern fantasy storytelling and bring mystical creatures to life on stage.

SESSION 2: BROADWAY & HOLLYWOOD - July 10-14, Showcase July 14

Let’s roll out the red carpet! Students will take center stage and emerge as the stars of tomorrow – acting, singing and dancing to Broadway and Film classics.

SESSION 3: ROCK THE STAGE July 17-28, Showcase July 28
Are you ready to rock?! Students will bring down the house by combining singing, acting and dancing for the ultimate live rock and roll performance.




Camps are held Monday - Friday from 8a - 3p at the Strand Capitol Performing Arts Center located at 50 N. George Street in York. Students will be split into age groups of 5-12 and 13-18 years old. Breakfast, lunch and snack will be provided. Tuition for the Summer Camp programs are $200 for a one-week session or $300 for a two-week session with a 10% discount offered during each camp session for each additional child after the first child.
