The City of York is inviting residents and visitors to celebrate Labor Day together at the 2026 Labor Day Festival, taking place Monday, September 7, at Kiwanis Lake. The annual celebration will offer a full day of activities, beginning with a community yard sale in the morning and continuing with an evening festival capped by a fireworks display.
The festivities will begin with a Community Yard Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., giving shoppers an opportunity to browse a variety of items while supporting local residents and community members.
Whether you're searching for household treasures, children's items, collectibles, clothing, or something unexpected, the yard sale will provide plenty of opportunities to explore before the evening festivities begin.
Following the yard sale, the Labor Day Festival will officially get underway at 5 p.m. and continue until 9 p.m. The evening celebration will feature music, entertainment, vendors, and activities designed to bring the York community together for a festive Labor Day celebration. The celebration will end a fireworks display scheduled for 8:45 p.m. The colorful show will provide a grand finale as the Labor Day Festival comes to a close. With the combination of a morning community yard sale, an evening festival, live entertainment, local vendors, and fireworks, the event offers something for residents of all ages.
