Get ready for four days of classic carnival fun! The Eastern York Recreation Authority Carnival returns to the Hellam Baseball Field, 20 Franklin Street, Hallam, from Wednesday, August 19, through Saturday, August 22, 2026.
The carnival runs 6–9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and 5–10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with live entertainment, carnival food, community fun, and a special fireworks finale.
Live Entertainment
There's something happening on the main stage every night, and admission to all live entertainment is free.
- Wednesday, August 19 | 6–9 p.m.: Church Night Musical Groups featuring local faith-based and community choirs.
- Thursday, August 20 | 6–9 p.m.: Corina Rose performing live acoustic and vocal music.
- Friday, August 21 | 5–10 p.m.: The Misfit Boys performing classic rock favorites, along with the annual Carnival Car Show.
- Saturday, August 22 | 5–10 p.m.: Hot Rod Mule bringing roots and bluegrass music to the stage, followed by the closing fireworks display at dark.
Carnival Food Favorites
No carnival is complete without plenty of classic fair food! Guests can enjoy favorites including freshly pressed funnel cakes, fried Oreos, cotton candy, fresh-cut French fries, chicken tenders, grilled hot dogs, pizza, and Italian sausage sandwiches with peppers and onions.
For something sweet and refreshing, look for ice cream and milkshakes from regional dairy vendors.
Directions
The carnival will be held at the Hellam Men's Baseball Field, 20 Franklin St., Hallam, PA 17406, near the intersection of Franklin and Orange Streets.
From York: Take US-30 East toward Lancaster and follow signs for PA-462/Hallam. Continue on East Market Street into Hallam, then turn onto Franklin Street. The baseball fields will be visible near the carnival grounds.
From Lancaster: Take US-30 West toward York and follow signs for PA-462/Hellam. Continue into Hallam and turn onto Franklin Street toward the baseball fields.
Parking & Arrival Tips
General parking is free at the event, with parking areas located around the Hellam Baseball Fields.
If you're planning to attend Friday or Saturday evening, it's a good idea to arrive early. Parking lots can fill quickly before the 5 p.m. start time, especially Saturday evening ahead of the closing fireworks.
Visitors should also expect possible minor traffic delays along Route 462 (Market Street) near Franklin Street during peak arrival times, generally between 5:30 and 7 p.m.
