Have you tried the cotton muslin swaddling blankets? I hadn't so I was very excited when Luna Lullaby sent me a pack of their Soothing Blankets to try out. Their blankets are made out of 100% soft cotton muslin and are 44”x44” (that is over 3 feet per side!)

They are nice and big so you have plenty of room to work with. That was always a problem that I had with my other swaddling blankets, they never seemed big enough. Along with these extra large blankets comes a DVD with step-by-step demos on how to swaddle your baby. Even after having a child and learning how to swaddle her, I found this helpful for future use and with the larger blankets I know it will be much easier! One of the nice things about the cotton muslin fabric is that it’s breathable which will prevent your baby from becoming over heated. Another great thing about these blankets is that they are large enough to be used for a variety of things other than just swaddling. They are great to throw on the floor for playtime and would make a nice light weight blanket during the warmer months. They can be machine washed and dried and get even softer after washing.
