My daughter and fiance are total gamers. Me? Not so much.  I always feel lost when they are talking about and sharing video games. So when I found out about LEGO Dimensions I was intrigued by the family play aspect. You can play with up to 4 players in a fun and competitive game! It seemed like the perfect way to bond with my gamer family!

After receiving the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack it was more than what I had imagined. The LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack comes with the video game disk, the LEGO toy pad, bricks to build the LEGO Gateway, 3 LEGO mini-figures (Batman, Gandalf, and Wyldstyle) and the LEGO Batman vehicle. But the incredible part is you actually get to build the LEGO Gateway & vehicles! So we sat down as a family and got to work building.  Once we got to the end of the directions our Gateway was not fully built because you get the rest of the instructions through playing the game! LEGO Dimensions provides the perfect balance of brick building, video gaming and family fun!

Once we were comfortable playing the Starter Pack we wanted to expand our character selection and game play. That's when we dug into our expansion packs. Our favorite was the Ghostbusters Expansive Story Pack which offers a full-movie game that includes a new Ghostbusters LEGO Gateway to build.

Overall we love LEGO Dimensions! It is awesome because it is compatible with many different expansions packs that keep the game fresh, new and continually improving. We love how it incorporates LEGO brick building and video games. But most of all, I love that I can bond with my gamers.
